Job summary

Builders FirstSource, Inc. in Layton, Utah is hiring a Driver - Non CDL to load, transport, and deliver building materials to customer sites. The role requires adherence to safety rules and the use of handheld devices for DVIR/HOS. This position carries responsibilities for accurate logging and customer service at delivery points.

The driver will operate vehicles within 10,001–26,000 pounds, perform routine safety checks, and contribute to a safe, efficient delivery process for BFS customers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 21+ years old and valid driver’s license.
• Ability to read and speak the English language.

Responsibilities

• Loads and secures product inside delivery vehicle.
• Delivers orders to customer sites and unloads safely.
• Verifies order details and logs delivery information (weights, mileage, locations).
• Acts as a customer service liaison between BFS and the site customer.
• Keeps delivery vehicles clean and performs safety checks per guidelines.
• Uses handheld devices (DVIR/HOS) as required (not while driving).
• Maintains hour-of-service logs and pre/post trip inspections.
• May perform credit/product return pickups and related paperwork.
• Operates forklift or non-motorized equipment to load/unload materials.
• Adheres to safety procedures and participates in safety meetings.
