Job summary

US Foods in Lenexa, KS is hiring a Non-CDL Delivery Driver. The role involves delivering products with a GVW up to 25,900 lbs, handling unloads, verifying deliveries with customers, and maintaining safety through pre/post-trip inspections.

Requirements include 21+ years old, a valid U.S. driver's license, 1 year of multi-stop delivery experience (or 6 months local delivery/foodservice), ability to read/communicate in English, and basic math skills.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license issued by the state of legal residence with proper endorsements if required.
• One-year multi-stop delivery experience required or 6-months local delivery experience and/or foodservice industry experience.
• Must be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records.

Responsibilities

• Safe Driving: Deliver products to our customers in a timely and safe manner.
• Unloading: Use a hand truck to move products into customer locations, navigating stairs and various delivery environments as required.
• Delivery Verification: Verify deliveries with customers & secure signatures.
• Return Management: Properly document and manage any returned products.
• Issue Reporting: Communicate any delivery or customer issues to the appropriate personnel, including Customer Service and your supervisor.
• Equipment Inspection: Conduct pre- & post-trip inspections to uphold safety standards.
• Account Management: Handle collections and payments when applicable.
• Adaptability: All other duties assigned by management.
