Job summary

Century A/C Supply in Texas is seeking a Delivery Driver to support licensed contractors, multifamily, and commercial accounts. You will safely operate a motor vehicle, pull and prepare orders, and ensure on-time deliveries along established routes.

Responsibilities include delivering equipment and parts to branches and customers, loading/unloading, operating forklifts, performing daily DOT inspections, and completing paperwork per procedures.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required.
  • Prior driving experience is necessary.
  • Satisfactory driving record within the last 3 years is necessary.

The Delivery Driver plays a crucial role in delivering our mission and achieving our goals. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the delivery function which includes safely operating a motor vehicle, delivering merchandise and customer service. You will be expected to pull and prepare orders to be delivered to customers and ensuring that deliveries are timely and correct via established routes. You will complete appropriate paperwork for delivered merchandise per company procedure and/or customer/vendor instruction. You will maintain an orderly vehicle and will be expected to follow company policy regarding vehicle maintenance, services, and driver policies.

  • Assist the inside sales representatives and/or warehouse personnel as needed

  • Must be able to lift/maneuver up to 50lbs. without machinery assistance


Qualifications

Educational Requirements and/or Experience Required


At least a high school diploma. Prior driving experience is necessary. Satisfactory driving record (within the last 3 years) is necessary.

  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service

  • Able to interpret instructions

  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle

  • Ability to operate warehouse machinery

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance on a regular basis

  • Ability to sit for several hours at a time

  • Good driving record and able to pass a background check
