Job summary

North American Partners in Anesthesia in Syracuse, NY is seeking a non-call taking anesthesiologist for a role at Crouse Health Hospital. You will work in a collegial anesthesia environment with surgeons and OR staff, supported by strong anesthesia tech and a care-team model across the hospital and three ASCs.

The position offers a salary of $450K with a $100K sign-on, generous benefits including health, life, vision, dental, disability, AD&D, FSA/HSA, 401(k), profit sharing and fully paid

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited College of Medicine.
• ECFMG and FLEX.
• Completion of approved residency in anesthesia.
• Currently licensed as a physician.

Responsibilities

• Case assignments across General, GYN, Bariatrics, Robotics, Ortho, Spine, Crani’s, Thoracic, Vascular, Urology/Renal, ENT, Eyes, Plastics, Podiatry, Endo, EP/Cath Lab, Healthy Peds. No open heart surgeries.
• Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department.
• Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures.
• Pre-anesthesia assessment.
• Obtains and/or verifies patient consent.
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient.
• Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia.
• Monitoring of the patient’s physiological condition.
• Performance of clinical intervention as needed.

Education
