Job summary

Netflix is seeking a Software Engineer to help evolve our Node.js platform and UI tooling. You will contribute to a PaaS and IaC framework that powers Netflix.com and related services.

You will work with developers to build scalable infrastructure, improve monitoring and deployment, and promote reliable, repeatable patterns across teams. The role emphasizes collaboration to reduce complexity and accelerate innovation within the Netflix engineering ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.

Responsibilities

• Understand how developers use Node.js and Netflix to create real solutions and abstractions for their use cases.
• Join the team in and around the Node.js community driving and promoting the Node.js vision at Netflix (aka The Paved Road).
• Provide and integrate libraries, frameworks, and workflows that help developers build their Node.js software in the Netflix cloud environment.
• Build, scale, operate PaaS infrastructure for production.
• Continue to improve the quality of work through a culture of learning and feedback.
• Ensure comprehensive monitoring and periodic review of the status of Node.js services.
• Define and improve dependency management, packaging and release history for Node.js.
• Identify and correct standards and application implementations that make it difficult for developers to build and maintain their software effectively.
• Promotes adoption of new technologies and complex systems.
