Coherent Solutions is seeking a senior backend engineer to contribute to our client’s SS Platform in the AdTech domain. You will work on Node.js and PHP-based services, build scalable systems, and collaborate with product teams to deliver features and maintain high-quality code.

The role requires 5+ years of backend experience, strong Linux and database skills, and experience with CI/CD tooling like Jenkins. Remote/hybrid options are available, with a global client footprint.

Project Description

The engineer will join our client’s development team working on a SS Platform in the AdTech domain. The platform is built and maintained with Node.js and PHP, both of which are used in daily development. The role focuses on implementing product features, writing readable and maintainable application code, and collaborating closely with product and engineering teams. The engineer will work on technical challenges that directly impact the platform’s scalability, reliability, and business goals.

What You’ll Do

• Develop, maintain, test, and deliver backend services and web applications to production;
• Build performant and scalable solutions for high-volume distributed systems;
• Work with server-side technologies, including Node.js and PHP;
• Contribute to a rapidly evolving platform and work with new software components;
• Collaborate with engineering teams, product managers, and business stakeholders to improve the technology stack;
• Work with databases, data storage solutions, and caching engines;
• Contribute to system architecture and prepare technical design documentation;
• Participate in Agile development processes and take ownership of assigned software projects;
• Perform code reviews and help maintain code quality;
• Support application troubleshooting and production issue resolution in Linux-based environments;

Job Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial experience in backend development;
• Strong hands-on experience with Node.js;
• Experience with backend-focused development, including service-to-service integrations;
• Understanding of web-based and service-oriented system design;
• Experience working with Linux-based environments;
• Experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL;
• Experience with Git or other version control systems;
• Knowledge of SDLC, development, testing, and release processes;
• Strong communication skills and ability to clearly describe problems and solutions;
• Willingness to participate in rotating pager duty / on-call support for production issues;
• English level: Intermediate+ or higher

Nice To Have

• Experience with caching systems such as Redis or Aerospike;
• Familiarity with build management, CI/CD, and automated testing tools such as Jenkins;
• Experience integrating Data Science models into scalable platforms;
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field;
