Job summary

Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the hospitalist team for night coverage (7 p.m.–7 a.m.) on a 7 on/7 off schedule. The role works under a physician collaborative practice agreement to assess, diagnose and initiate inpatient care plans.

Candidate must be licensed as a Physician Assistant and have capacity to work independently within protocols, collaborating with hospitalists to coordinate care, educate patients and families, and

Qualifications

• Licensed as Physician Assistant.
• Experience: <2 years required; 2–5 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in professional development.
• Provides inpatient care and initiates treatment plans under physician collaboration.
• Coordinates care with a physician to ensure continuity and safety.
• Develops plans for acute conditions per approved protocols.
• Safety-sensitive position requiring alertness and safe work practices.
