Job summary

CompHealth is seeking a nocturnist physician for a 7-on, 7-off schedule, covering nights from 7 pm to 7 am with on-site NP support for floor calls. The role is an independent contractor (1099) opportunity with malpractice coverage provided by the group.

Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Practice and hold a California medical license with DEA registration. Our services are free for you, and we help negotiate salary and contract terms.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Practice.
• California medical license is required; DEA registration is required.
• Nocturnist or hospitalist experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Nocturnist schedule: 7 pm – 7 am with 7 days on and 7 days off.
• Independent contractor (1099) opportunity.
• Night admissions typical: 6–10 per night with on-site NP support.
• Cross coverage for calls handled by mid-level providers.
• Malpractice coverage provided by the group.
