Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking a Nocturnist Physician for locum tenens coverage in Shiprock, NM. Schedule 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., 7 days on/7 days off, with a total census of 12–15 per shift. Expect lumbar punctures, paracentesis, thoracentesis, joint aspirations, and central line placements.

Credentialing typically takes 45–60 days; BLS, ACLS, and ATLS are required. RPMS is the EMR, and AMN provides malpractice coverage and travel/lodging support.

Qualifications

• Active BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certifications are required.
• Nocturnist physician with 7 on/7 off schedule expectations.
• Credentialing typically takes 45–60 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide nocturnist coverage 7:30pm–7:30am, 7 on/7 off.
• Perform procedures: lumbar punctures, paracentesis, thoracentesis, joint aspirations, central lines.
• Document care in RPMS EMR and coordinate with hospital team.

This facility is seeking a Nocturnist Physician for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.

Details and requirements for this opportunity:

• Schedule: 7 on 7 off, Sunday through Saturday 7:30pm – 7:30am
• Total census per provider per shift: 12-15
• Procedures required:Lumbar punctures, paracentesis, thoracentesis, joint aspirations, and central line placements
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Resource and Patient Management System (RPMS)
• Support: The hospital consists of 75 physicians and 24 mid-level providers.
• Certifications and license required: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)
• Credentialing timeframe: 45-60 days
