Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking a Nocturnist Physician for locum tenens coverage in North Carolina. The shift runs 7:00pm–7:00am with a census of ~15 per provider per shift. ACLS, DEA, NC license and board certification are required, with credentialing anticipated in 30–60 days.

Responsibilities include rounding, admissions, consultations, and management of ventilated patients in ICU when needed. EMR is Epic; malpractice coverage is typically arranged by AMN Healthcare.

Qualifications

• Nocturnist physician with nocturnist shift schedule.
• Census per provider per shift is about 15 patients.
• Procedures include rounding, consults, admissions; ICU vent management optional.
• EMR is Epic.
• Licensure: NC license with ACLS, DEA and board certification.
• Credentialing timeframe typically 30–60 days.

• Provide overnight hospital coverage and patient management.
• Perform traditional and interdisciplinary rounding, consults, and admissions.
