A leading healthcare provider is seeking a Nocturnal Hospitalist to join their team on the Gulf Coast. The role involves evaluating and treating patients, engaging in academic programs, and ensuring quality care. This position offers a 7 on/7 off schedule with APP support, requiring an MD or DO license in Alabama.
Nocturnal Hospitalist (IM or FM) Opportunity on the Gulf Coast
• Schedule: 7 on/7 off
• Practice Detail: Nocturnist with APP support
• EMR System: Cerner
Responsibilities:
• Evaluate and treat patients using appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills.
• Participate in efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care.
• Accept patient referrals, act as admitting, attending, or consulting physician for hospitalized patients based on needs.
• Engage in academic programs such as medical education and research as requested.
• Ensure documentation meets insurance requirements and timely appeal of denials.
• Provide inpatient and outpatient consultations, including on-call duties if applicable.
Qualifications:
• MD/DO licensed by the Alabama Board of Medical Examiners prior to hire.
Preferred Credentials:
• AHA Advanced Life Support certification.
Education:
• MD or DO required.
