Sound Physicians is seeking a nocturnist for a position at Mercy Hospital of Buffalo, New York. This role supports a vibrant community while allowing for professional growth. The team consists of 15 physicians and 3 APPs who foster collaboration and support.

With a flexible schedule of 7-days-on, 7-days-off, you will engage in admissions and cross-coverage during night shifts, working in a manageable environment. The compensation includes a base salary of $170,000 with additional bonuses and a $25,000 commencement bonus.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or eligible as a physician assistant.
• Prior experience as a hospitalist is essential.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform admissions and cover cross during night shifts.
• Work in a closed ICU with intensivists available.
• Utilize EPIC EMR and internal informatics platform.

Local Team Collaboration: Join our close-knit team of 15 physicians and 3 APPs at Mercy Hospital of Buffalo. Our team comprises clinicians from diverse geographic, educational, and training backgrounds who are supportive and collaborative with other staff and departments. We have multiple committees that our providers can lead or join.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or eligible physician assistants.
• Hospitalist experience is required.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Scheduling

Flexible scheduling is available. Full‑time positions follow a 7‑days‑on, 7‑days‑off rotation. Shifts for our nocturnist position are scheduled 7:00PM to 7:00AM. We are entertaining candidates for full‑time, part‑time, and PRN shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform admissions and cross coverage during night shifts.
• Closed ICU with intensivists on hand 24/7; procedures and codes are not required.
• Use EPIC EMR and have access to our internal informatics platform.
