Job summary
CommonSpirit Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, TN, invites applications for a Board-Eligible/Board-Certified Internal Medicine Nocturnist. Join a hospital-employed group delivering comprehensive inpatient care overnight, with a focused, patient-centered approach and no after-hours call.
The role features a fixed night schedule of 158 shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM and strong support from Intensivists. We offer a competitive base salary guaranteed for three years, incentives, a robust benefits
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree required.
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine.
- Active Tennessee/Georgia license and DEA eligibility desired.
Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient care for adult patients during night shifts.
- Assess new admissions and manage acute changes in patient conditions.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests to guide overnight treatment.
- Collaborate with day hospitalists, nurses and specialists for seamless care transitions.
- Manage discharge planning for appropriate patients for day-shift transfer.
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records for overnight care.
