Job summary

Duke Health is seeking a Nocturnist APP to join the Hospital Medicine Department across Duke Health System hospitals in North Carolina. You will deliver bedside care for admitted patients, collaborate with physicians, and participate in night-time cross-coverage with a small overnight team.

Shifts are 9pm–7am with opportunities for remote cross-coverage as needed; inpatient APP experience is required. PA-C or NP with appropriate certification and licenses in NC is expected.

Qualifications

• PA: ARC accredited Physician Assistant program completed; Master's or Doctoral preferred.
• NP: MSN or DNP in adult care aimed at advanced practice.
• Current PA-C or NP certification depending on track.

Responsibilities

• Provide night-time clinical care for admitted patients in Hospital Medicine.
• Perform assessments, orders, and management for patients under care.
• Engage in night cross-coverage with the overnight team.
• Admit patients via ED or other sources when needed.
• Maintain documentation and participate in care coordination.
