Position Highlights:
  1. Be a part of a collaborative and comprehensive health care team
  2. 100% of patients will have a WellMed primary care provider
  3. Our model is designed to provide the most efficient, comprehensive, and proven care techniques to treat the whole patient - physically, mentally, and socially
  4. "Quality vs. Quantity Model" - Typically census per hospitalist is 13 to 15 patients per day
  5. Patient panel is limited to geriatrics with Medicare Advantage coverage
  6. Bonus incentives are based on quality metrics

Required Qualifications:
  1. Doctor of Medicine (M.D.), Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.), or M.B.B.S.
  2. Board certification or eligibility in Family or Internal Medicine
  3. Active, unrestricted medical license in Texas
  4. Valid DEA license
  5. Ability to work 12 hours at night on a regular basis

Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Bilingual (English/Spanish) fluency
  2. A working understanding and support of a managed care environment

The salary range for this role is $260,000 to $387,000 annually based on full-time employment. Salary Range is defined as total cash compensation at target. The actual range and pay mix of base and bonus is variable based upon experience and metric achievement. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
