Sterling St James Inc. in Lima, OH is seeking an Emergency Medicine Nocturnist to join a well-regarded community hospital ED with a culture of mutual respect and strong clinical support. The role is a night-only, full-time position with autonomy to direct patient care.

The incumbent will work nights, supported by experienced APPs, with ~28,000 annual visits and a forward plan for AI scribes to reduce administrative tasks. Compensation is $215 per hour for all clinical hours.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with completion of an accredited Emergency Medicine Residency program.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine.
• Active Ohio state medical license (or immediate eligibility to obtain).
• Team-oriented, collaborative professional in a stable medical staff environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the solo attending EM physician on-site during night hours with full clinical autonomy.
• Benefit from overlap coverage by APPs to streamline patient throughput.
• Support a high-functioning ED seeing ~28,000 visits annually.
• Utilize the Meditech EMR; transition to AI scribes to reduce charting burden.
