Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center in Jacksonville, Florida seeks a skilled, collaborative Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Division of Surgery as a nocturnal APP supporting surgical oncology, thoracic, head and neck, and colorectal oncology patients.

The role offers overnight coverage, 7 on/7 off, with opportunities to work with a multidisciplinary team and contribute to patient safety, acute assessment, and postoperative care at our 330,000-square-foot cancer center.

Qualifikationen

• MSN or graduate degree from an accredited program (APRN/PA).
• Florida licensure or eligibility to practice as APRN or PA.
• National certification as Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• 1–2 years APP experience in surgery, critical care, or acute inpatient settings.
• Oncology or surgical specialty experience valued but not required.

Aufgaben

• Care for a complex adult surgical population across colorectal, thoracic, head and neck, and surgical oncology services.
• Serve as the first-line overnight APP contact for inpatient needs, nursing calls, abnormal results, and acute concerns.
• Perform bedside assessments and escalate significant changes to the on-call surgeon.
• Support postoperative transitions and PACU-to-floor handoffs.
