We are seeking an experienced NOC Engineer to join our team in Littleton, Colorado. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with deep telecom and networking expertise who can thrive in a dynamic, high-pressure environment. The NOC Engineer will play a crucial role in managing 4G/5G network operations, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring optimal network performance.
Manage and support 4G/5G NOC shift operations, ensuring efficient troubleshooting and resolution of incidents.
Monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot IP routing, protocols, and transport systems, as well as software systems and services running virtualized functions.
Perform advanced troubleshooting for SR-MPLS, MPLS, L2/L3VPN, and routing protocols such as eBGP, iBGP, and ISIS.
Support and maintain SDH, DWDM, SON, and ACI infrastructure components.
Ensure smooth operation of 5G functional components including Core, RAN, Network, Transport, PaaS, and gNB configurations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex network and service-related issues.
Prioritize and manage dynamic schedules, balancing workloads to achieve timely resolution of incidents.
Apply best practices in network technologies and the OSI reference model to maintain network integrity and performance.
Provide input into process improvements and technical upgrades.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and external partners.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or equivalent work experience.
5-7 years of telecom/networking experience.
Proven experience managing 4G/5G NOC shift environments and troubleshooting activities.
Solid knowledge of IP routing, protocols, and transport systems, as well as software services in virtualized environments.
Familiarity with IP technologies; CCNP certification is a plus.
Experience with SDH, DWDM, SON, and ACI technologies.
Strong expertise in eBGP, iBGP, ISIS routing protocols, SR-MPLS, MPLS, and L2/L3VPN technologies.
Good understanding of network technologies and the OSI reference model.
Strong organizational skills to manage schedules and balance team workloads.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
