VC3, Inc. is seeking a NOC Analyst II to monitor and maintain our network and systems with a weekend schedule (Fri–Mon, 10am–9pm) in a remote USA-based role.

You will identify and troubleshoot issues, document changes, and collaborate across teams to keep services up and performing. The role offers growth opportunities, including mentoring junior analysts and handling escalations while ensuring timely communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in network and system monitoring or related field.
  • Experience with network and system monitoring tools; ConnectWise Ticketing, OpenDNS, Kaseya VSA, and PRTG a plus.
  • Knowledge of advanced networking concepts such as load balancing, VPN, and firewalls.
  • Advanced understanding of server and operating system concepts, including Windows and Linux.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor network and system performance using monitoring tools and software.
  • Identify and troubleshoot complex network and system issues, escalating as necessary.
  • Mentor and train Analyst I on monitoring best practices.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of configurations and changes.
  • Ensure SLAs are met and tickets are properly notated for time tracking.

The Impact you will have

We are seeking a NOC Analyst II to join our Network Operations Center (NOC) team. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining our network and systems to ensure optimal performance and uptime. This mid-level position offers the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities and help mentor junior analysts within our organization.

Work Schedule:

  • Shift: 4 X 10 (4 days/week, 10 hours/day)
  • Days: Friday though Monday
  • Hours: 10am - 9:00pm
What you will be doing
  • Monitor network and system performance using various monitoring tools and software.
  • Identify and troubleshoot complex network and system issues, escalating as necessary.
  • Perform and assist identification and troubleshooting of complex network and system issues, acting as a point of escalation as necessary.
  • Perform system and network device configurations and deployments, as coordinated with the Backup Specialists and Toolset Orchestration Specialists.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of network and system configurations and changes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and implement solutions.
  • Monitor and respond to alerts and notifications generated by our network and system monitoring tools.
  • Provide timely and effective communication of network and system issues to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to after-hours incidents as needed.
  • Mentor and train Analyst I on network and system monitoring best practices.
  • Ensure Tickets are properly created and notated to account for time
  • Manage personal workload and ensure that service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
  • Additional duties as required.
The tools you bring
  • Associate's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in network and system monitoring or related field.
  • Experience with network and system monitoring tools; ConnectWise Ticketing, OpenDNS, Kaseya VSA, and PRTG a plus.
  • Knowledge of advanced networking concepts such as load balancing, VPN, and firewalls.
  • Advanced understanding of server and operating system concepts, including Windows and Linux.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
