Job summary

Platt in Jackson, WY seeks a Warehouse Associate/Driver I to fill orders, receive, stock, stage, and ship materials while upholding safety and accuracy standards. The role supports branch operations and warehouse maintenance.

The job includes driving up to 50% of the time to delivering products to customers and branches; a valid driver's license is required. Forklift certification is preferred; HS diploma or GED preferred.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• Prior warehouse experience a plus.
• Certification to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must pass a pre-employment and annual review of the Motor Vehicle Record.
• Must obtain verification of non-expired medical certificate as required by law within 30 days of hire.
• Must not have had a suspended driver's license for a traffic accident/violation within the past 3 years.
• Must not have any at fault accidents in the past 3 years.
• High School or GED - Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a culture focused on employee safety.
• Follow established SOPs, EH&S rules, and address safety concerns.
• Receive material and verify quantities against packing lists.
• Keep incoming orders stocked and report freight damage claims.
• Prepare branch orders and ensure correct products are shipped.
• Process shipments paperwork and insure shipments.
• Operate forklift, reach truck, and wire cutting machine as needed.
• Load common carrier and company vehicles.
• Inspect and perform maintenance on equipment.
• Perform inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Deliver products to customers and branches as required.
• Inspect company vehicle and complete daily inspection report.
• Keep vehicle clean and maintained; report repairs.
• Adhere to DOT and other driving laws.
• Load/unload and verify material for each order; ensure no damages.
• Assist in preparing delivery orders.
• Complete delivery documentation; obtain customer signatures.
• Pickup material returns and verify quantities.
• Pickup material from suppliers.
• Train entry level Truck Drivers and provide mentorship.
• May perform other duties including counter sales and customer support.
