Job summary

Skilled Wound Care is hiring Trauma Surgeons in Gulfport, MS to work as wound care physicians and lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities. The role offers a no-call Monday–Friday schedule, with opportunities to maintain surgical skills such as debridement and bedside procedures, while focusing on high-impact patient care.

Full-time or part-time roles are available, with compensation consisting of per-patient and per-procedure pay plus quarterly bonuses.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• Unrestricted state medical license or eligibility to obtain one.
• DEA license or eligibility to obtain one.
• No prior wound care experience required; comprehensive wound care training provided.
• Open/background welcome; all backgrounds considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide no-call, Monday–Friday schedule with no nights or weekends.
• Lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities.
• Maintain surgical skills including debridement and bedside procedures.
• Utilize clinical autonomy to improve patient outcomes.
• Minimize administrative burden with streamlined documentation.
