Job summary

Skilled Wound Care in Jackson, MS is seeking a General Surgeon to lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities. This no-call, Monday–Friday position offers flexible full-time or part-time options and the freedom to maintain your life outside medicine.

Applicants must hold an MD or DO, a Mississippi medical license (or eligibility) and a DEA license (or eligibility). Training in wound care is provided; prior wound care experience is not required.

Qualifications

MD or DO from an accredited institution.
Unrestricted medical license in Mississippi or eligibility to obtain one.
DEA license or eligibility to obtain one.
Open background; training provided and no prior wound care experience required.

Responsibilities

Perform wound care debridement and bedside procedures.
Evaluate and treat chronic, non-healing and complex wounds.
Advanced dressings and specialized wound protocols.
Collaborate with skilled nursing facilities in post-acute care settings.
