Job summary

Emcareers seeks a Board Certified or Board Eligible Emergency Medicine physician for an ongoing locum opportunity in Georgia. The role takes place in a hospital-based ED with strong specialty support and daily APP coverage, and includes no call responsibilities for the physician.

Epic EMR with Dragon and DAX is used, with approximately 40,000 annual ED visits, a 310-bed hospital, and 38 physician hours plus 24 NP/PA coverage daily.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with completed EM residency (ACGME accredited).
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine.
• Active, unrestricted Georgia medical license.
• DEA license with Georgia address.
• ACLS and PALS required; ATLS required (not if ABEM).
• Clinical activity/case logs for the past 2 years.
• CME/CEU documentation (20 hours per year for the past 2 years).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients presenting with a broad range of emergency conditions.
• Supervise Advanced Practice Providers.
• Collaborate with consulting specialists.
