Job summary

Skilled Wound Care is actively seeking Bariatric Surgeons to lead wound care initiatives across skilled nursing facilities in Wilmington, DE. This role emphasizes clinical autonomy and a no-call, Monday–Friday schedule, allowing surgeons to maintain surgical skills while delivering high-impact patient care.

Ideal candidates hold an MD or DO with an unrestricted license in Delaware, and are eligible for a DEA license.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• Unrestricted medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain one).
• DEA license (or eligibility to obtain one).
• No previous wound care experience required; comprehensive wound care training provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform bariatric surgical procedures and bedside debridement.
• Evaluate and treat chronic, non-healing and complex wounds.
• Collaborate with skilled nursing facilities and post-acute teams to follow patients through healing.
