Digital Commerce Marketing Analytics (Consultant)

This role focuses on leveraging advanced analytics to drive insights and optimize digital commerce and retail media strategies. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record with digital commerce technologies and a strong background in data science, analytics, and data-driven business outcomes.

Experiences sought: Hands-on experience with analytics platforms like Amazon Ads, Amazon Marketing Cloud, Amazon DSP, Walmart Scintilla, Kroger Collaborative Cloud, Google Ads, Facebook Ads, or similar. Experience in search engine optimization or bidding optimization supported by CLV, RFM, or propensity modeling using first-party data assets.

Candidates should be familiar with marketing terms such as CAC, Impressions, CTR, Conversion Rate, Glance Views, ROAS, SEO, CLV, and Attribution Modeling.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Data Analysis and Modeling:
  • Analyze digital commerce and retail media data to identify factors affecting conversion rates.
  • Develop predictive models for insights and bid optimization based on volume and profit.
  • Use SQL for data extraction and transformation.
  • Apply machine learning and statistical techniques to large datasets.
  • Strategic Insights and Recommendations:
    • Provide actionable insights to improve search spend and conversions.
    • Present findings to leadership using visualizations and dashboards.
    • Collaborate on analytics projects aligning with business strategy.
  • Project Management and Collaboration:
    • Manage end-to-end analytics projects for senior leaders.
    • Work with cross-functional teams to embed data insights into decision-making.
    • Oversee external vendors for analytics projects.
  • Data Management and QA:
    • Act as SME for first-party data, ensuring quality and utility.
    • Maintain data quality through governance, validation, and issue resolution.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's or Master's in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related.
    • 3+ years in data science/analytics, preferably in digital commerce or retail media.
    • Proficiency in Python or R.
    • Experience with Tableau or Power BI.
    • Strong analytical and communication skills.
    • Experience with machine learning and statistical modeling.
    • Knowledge of digital marketing metrics and KPIs.

    Additional qualifications include experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure, familiarity with digital ad platforms, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects independently.
