Job summary

ASR Group is seeking a No. 1 Auto Machine Mechanic to maintain high-speed packaging equipment in an industrial food facility. The role includes routine maintenance, in-field adjustments, and complete breakdown repairs to keep lines running.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of packaging equipment maintenance experience, a High School Diploma or GED, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, and adapt to varying shifts including weekends when needed.

OVERVIEW

The No. 1 Auto Machine Mechanic is responsible for maintenance on high-speed packaging equipment in an industrial food facility. This position handles routine maintenance, in-field adjustments, and complete breakdowns of equipment.

DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lay out, assemble, install, maintain, repair and test complicated mechanical and closely allied equipment such as clutch assemblies, gear head motors, reduction drive units, high pressure glue pumps, etc. on high-speed packaging equipment.
• Perform major and difficult repairs to all types of packaging equipment from instruction books, sketches and other specifications.
• Perform all jobs in accordance with established safety practices and sanitation standards.
• Operate high speed packing equipment.

WORK EXPERIENCES

• Must have at least two (2) years of maintenance/mechanical experience on packaging equipment OR two (2) years of related maintenance/mechanical experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or GED

ESSENTIAL CAPABILITIES

• Ability to recognize, adjust and replace components in mechanical equipment.
• Ability to perform repairs and tests on mechanical packaging equipment such as clutch assemblies, gear head motors, reduction drive units and high pressure glue pumps.
• Ability to:
  • Lift up to 50lbs
  • Use hands and arms to reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and manipulate materials and tools
  • Walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb constantly throughout the shift
  • Reach, bend, twist, rotate, push and pull frequently
  • Work in confined spaces
  • Work independently as well as a team player
  • Climb up and down ladders
  • This position requires the flexibility to work various shifts, including Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, holidays, and overtime, as needed. Weekend shifts may be mandated based on business needs.
  • Must be able to perform tasks wearing required PPE such as but not limited to protective footwear, clothing, safety glasses/goggles, etc.

HOURLY RATE

• Starting Rate $ 38.00
• Paid vacation and sick time after 90 day probation period.
