Intel Corporation in Albuquerque, NM is seeking an Experienced Hire to lead a team of technicians responsible for manufacturing operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. The role owns safety, quality, staffing, scheduling, and employee performance management as the first escalation point on-shift.

You will drive efficient factory operations, coordinate across teams to meet production and quality targets, maintain certifications, and partner with engineering to sustain manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field (STEM, Engineering, or related).
• 5+ years of semiconductor manufacturing or wafer fabrication experience with leadership responsibilities.
• 4+ years of people management or leadership experience in a manufacturing or military environment.

• Manages shift operations, including workstations, rotations, vacations, overtime, break coverage, and contingency staffing.
• Maintains required certification levels and workforce readiness to support production and wafer ramp targets.
• Partners with engineering teams to resolve equipment and operational issues and sustain manufacturing health.
• Oversees maintenance activities and develops strategies to enhance operational capability for future manufacturing needs.
• Delivers results by promoting safety, collaboration, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Ensures area performance through effective workforce planning, training, development, and retention. Manages shift operations, including workstation assignments, rotations, vacations, overtime, break coverage, and contingency staffing. Maintains required certification levels and workforce readiness to support production and wafer ramp targets. Partners with engineering teams to resolve equipment and operational issues, improve tool performance, and sustain manufacturing health. Oversees both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities and develops strategies to enhance operational capability and support future manufacturing requirements. Responsible for setting clear goals, driving accountability, fostering employee development, and enabling successful team execution. Delivers results by promoting a culture of safety, collaboration, continuous improvement, and operational excellence while role-modeling company values and maintaining a productive work environment.

Shift Schedule

Shift Schedule: This position may be staffed on either of the following compressed workweek schedules: Shift 7 (days backend): AM/PM, Thursday through Saturday, plus alternating Wednesdays. Shift 6 (nights backend): PM/AM, Wednesday through Friday, plus alternating Saturdays.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, STEM, Business Management, Operations Management, Project Management, or a related field. OR 5+ years of semiconductor manufacturing or wafer fabrication experience, including leadership responsibilities. OR 4+ years of people management or leadership experience in a manufacturing or military environment.
