Y-12 National Security Complex is seeking an Accounting Manager to own the nuclear material accounting system functionality and lead site reporting to NMMSS. The role requires deep NMC&A and GAAP knowledge with the ability to interface with production, security, and IT to translate complex requirements into automated solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and minimum 7 years of security, NMC&A or operations experience.
• Master's degree and previous NMC&A accounting experience is desirable.
• Experience with Y-12 nuclear operations, nuclear material accounting system, handling/storage/processing of accountable nuclear materials is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Owns the nuclear material accounting system functionality and leads site reporting to NMMSS.
• Interacts with production personnel, security teams and IT programmers to translate material tracking requirements into automated system solutions.
• Oversees the internal accounting team and ensures discrepancies are resolved and updates are accurate.
• Coordinates the site-wide physical inventory program and the positive assurance verification process.
