The NM Imaging Technologist applies the NM imaging physics and radiopharmacy preparation guidelines in performing advanced NM exams under minimal supervision and in accordance with established practices and procedures to ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and infection control standards. The NM Imaging Technologist has the ability to differentiate between healthy and pathological areas and adjust the scope of the exam accordingly.

• Prepare radioisotopes and perform all advanced NM procedures with minimal supervision.
• Apply current NM standards to review protocols, adjust parameters, maintain safety, and improve image quality for better throughput.
• Oversee training and development of interns and junior technologists in hot lab duties.
• Participate in operational activities such as equipment calibration, troubleshooting, quality control, supplies management, and other tasks assigned by the manager.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Radiologic Science or Nuclear Medicine OR Master’s degree in Radiologic Science or Nuclear Medicine with at least 2 years of NM imaging experience.
