Job summary

M1 Technology, LLC seeks a Technical SETA SME - Natural Language Processing to join our Bethesda, MD team. This role requires TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance and deep expertise in NLP, AI/ML and data architectures for mission-critical NLP deployments.

The candidate will contribute to systems engineering in complex, data-driven environments, guide NLP pipeline development, and ensure governance, quality, and risk mitigation across AI-enabled analytics for national security applications.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in physics, mathematics, computer science or relevant engineering fields.
Eight (8)+ years of work experience in physics, mathematics, computer science or relevant engineering fields.
Systems engineering and integration experience in complex, data-intensive environments.
Knowledge of AI/ML including NLP, predictive analytics and LLMs.
Experience with NLP methodologies: text classification, NER, topic modeling, information extraction or transformer-based architectures.
Experience developing/evaluating NLP pipelines: preprocessing, tokenization, model training, fine-tuning, optimization for mission environments.
Understanding of data architectures and pipelines for large-scale analytics/intelligence production.
Familiarity with AI governance, data quality, bias mitigation, and mission assurance in NLP/LLM deployments.
Experience creating program plans, work breakdown structures, and milestone schedules.
