Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a qualified Data Scientist/ML Engineer to design and develop NLP-focused deep learning frameworks. You will build LLM-based solutions, including retrieval augmented generation and tool orchestration, and evaluate model performance to deliver business-ready insights.

The role requires a Master’s degree with 3 years of related experience and will involve collaboration with engineering and product teams in a fast-paced financial services environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree plus 3 years of experience in Data Science/ML/NLP roles.
• Experience designing AI/ML NLP models with Python/Java and Torch/Huggingface.
• Experience building LLM-based solutions including prompt engineering, RAG, tool calling, and agent orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Study, design, and develop deep learning frameworks for NLP tasks aligned with business requirements.
• Develop technical solutions utilizing large language models for content extraction, search, QA, reasoning and recommendations.
• Build testing setups to evaluate model performance and reliability of LLM solutions.
• Monitor and improve model performance through feedback and active learning.
• Deliver written, visual, and oral presentations of modeling results to business stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to deploy scalable solutions in production.
• Study scientific articles to identify emerging NLP techniques and new approaches.
