Job summary

B4Corp is seeking a Data Scientist in McLean, VA, to work with the customer’s data scientists and technical team on NLP tasks and advanced analytics. This role requires TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph and offers a competitive salary up to $230,000 per year.

You will develop NLP solutions, build ETL pipelines, write advanced SQL in Oracle, and create data visualizations and ad-hoc reports. The position emphasizes collaboration, mentorship, and staying current with enterprise tools.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated NLP experience with Python libraries, preprocessing, and model evaluation.
• Experience with Python NLP packages (SpaCy, Gensim, NLTK) to analyze documents.
• Experience with deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow or Keras).
• Experience with transformer models (HuggingFace) and language modeling.
• Proficiency in SQL including CTEs, set operations, aggregations, and subqueries.
• Experience with version control (GitHub) and CI/CD (Jenkins).
• Experience leveraging GPUs for accelerated computing.
• Ability to measure performance and present findings to leadership.
• Strong communication of methods and results.

Responsibilities

• Conduct sophisticated NLP analyses on large text datasets.
• Analyze raw data to provide business insights.
• Preprocess structured and unstructured data including text data.
• Design and optimize ETL pipelines and data structures.
• Use SQL to organize information in Oracle databases for analytics.
• Produce ad-hoc reports and visualizations using templates.
• Stay current with enterprise metadata tools and coordination processes.
• Provide technical education to staff as needed.
• Offer SME NLP expertise to support initiatives.
