Job summary

Pennoni is seeking a Construction Inspector in New Jersey to join our field team across South/Central NJ. The role focuses on QA at construction sites, inspection of materials, and ensuring adherence to drawings and specs.

Qualified candidates will hold NJDCA Certification in Structural Welding, Structural Steel and Bolting, Reinforced Concrete, Structural Masonry or Spray-Applied Fireproofing, and have 1–3 years of related experience, plus strong communication and the ability to work

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of related experience.
• NJDCA Certification in Structural Welding, Structural Steel and Bolting, Reinforced Concrete, Structural Masonry, Spray-Applied Fireproofing.
• Ability to read drawings and specifications and write reports.
• Willing to work in the field performing physical work.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Working in the field at construction sites as a quality assurance representative inspecting construction work and performing construction materials testing
• Monitoring one or more of the following for compliance with the drawings and specifications: reinforced concrete, masonry, structural steel, spray applied fireproofing, soils and/or foundation construction
• Performing field testing of plastic concrete, grout, mortar and block, fireproofing, soils and/or nondestructive testing of welds
• Ability to read drawings and specifications, write reports, create sketches, communicate and coordinate with the engineers, contractors, and clients
