Vallarta Supermarkets is seeking a Nixtamalero to produce corn and flour tortilla products from start to finish, while maintaining quality and food safety standards. The role also covers stocking, merchandising, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities include masa preparation, tortilla production, sanitation, product display, and adherence to health and safety regulations. This is a full-time on-site position in a fast-paced, festive environment.

Qualifications

• Able to greet and assist customers with tortilla orders.
• Willingness to learn tortilla production from corn to finished product.
• Team-based, fast-paced work environment.

Responsabilités

• Assist customers with tortilla orders and provide friendly service.
• Prepare masa, cook, grind nixtamal, fry tortilla products as per recipes.
• Clean equipment and work areas following clean-as-you-go principles.
• Rotate, replenish, and display tortilla products to ensure freshness and signage.
• Package flour and corn tortillas and transport products as needed.
• Follow health code regulations and Vallarta’s safety program.
• Assist coworkers and support training of new employees.
