Job summary

PlanIT Group LLC, located in Albany, NY, is seeking a skilled professional with a strong background in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC). The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in information security and a solid understanding of security compliance controls such as HIPAA and NIST 800-53.

You will be responsible for evaluating and supporting the security management program, managing policy exceptions, and communicating technical remediation steps effectively. Strong interpersonal skills and a related degree are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in information security, Risk Management, IT compliance, or related fields.
• Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, NIST 800-53, ISO 27001/31000, and regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) initiatives.
• Support security management program and maintain risk appetite frameworks.
