Qualifications

Description

Are you looking for a fun place to work? The AYCC is seeking a dedicated individual to be our NinjAdventure Zone Attendant.

In this role, you will engage with youth and ensure their safety as they play on our indoor play structure, test their strength on the NinjAdventure obstacle course, and climb on our rock wall. If you enjoy promoting fun and safety for young visitors, apply to be a NinjAdventure Zone Attendant!

Essential Functions

• Supervise the Rock Wall, harness participants, and assist with harness removal.
• Follow all program procedures and guidelines, participating in all aspects of the NinjAdventure Zone.
• Communicate with children, teens, adults, and groups to provide instructions and enforce safety regulations and emergency procedures.
• Identify and respond to environmental hazards.
• Provide supervision, enforce safety rules, perform safety checks, and conduct light cleaning and maintenance of equipment and spaces.
• Perform regular safety and maintenance checks.

Requirements

Skills & Competencies:

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with groups of children of various ages and skill levels.
• Emotional and mental maturity, problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with children/youth and serve as a role model.
• Customer service skills.
• Team player, able to meet deadlines, work independently, demonstrate critical thinking, and be flexible.

Knowledge/Education/Certification

• High School diploma or equivalent, or working towards one.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it.

Experience

• At least two years of experience working with children, youth, and adults.

Work Schedule

Varies weekly, with shifts during daytime hours from Monday to Sunday.

Salary

$14.65 - $16.48 per hour
