Job summary

TEGNA Inc. in Portland, ME is seeking a night-side Photojournalist to shoot and edit stories for broadcast and streaming. You will edit mobile shorts, support reporters with LIVE shots, and create engaging visuals while working under tight deadlines.

Qualified candidates have 1–3 years of videography/editing experience, are active on major social platforms, and know ENPS, Edius, and Axis graphics. This full-time role offers robust benefits and growth opportunities.

NEWS CENTER Maine (WCSH & WLBZ), in beautiful downtown Portland, is looking for an engaging and enterprising night side Photojournalist.
In this full-time position you will:

Responsibilities:

• Shoot and edit stories for broadcast and stream.
• You will also edit a mobile short each shift.
• The right person has a passion for breaking news, storm coverage, and meaningful daily storytelling. Helping reporters with LIVE shots is part of the routine.
• Our photojournalists are also encouraged to shoot and edit natural sound PKGs on their own.
• The right person understands what takes to make great visual stories.
• A team first attitude is a must.
• A keen eye for creative LIVE shots and production is expected.
• Calm and cool under deadline pressure is expected.

In short, we are looking for an aggressive photojournalist who wants to be the best storyteller in Maine.

Requirements:

Pay Range

$23.08—$24.04 USD
