Qualifications

Awesome Fabrication Shop in Broken Arrow is seeking Welders for Night Shift 2pm to Midnight Mon-Fri 50 hour work weeks

The Layout Welder / fitter will work in the fabrication of ASME certified spiral heat exchangers fabricated from carbon steel, stainless steel, duplex, nickel alloys, and titanium. Using prints and other documents, they will layout, fit, and weld using GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, SAW, and SMAW processes. All work is ASME certified and stamped.

Responsibilities
  • Perform fabrication, welding, and fitting operations in accordance with ASME standards.
  • Perform x-ray quality open root weld joints in accordance with ASME pressure vessel code in various materials.
  • Perform pressure vessel fitting operations on different materials.
  • Read prints, interpret weld symbols, follow work instructions, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Conduct liquid penetrant and other non-destructive testing as required.
  • Perform quality checks and inspect materials and production to ensure conformance.
  • Identify and communicate non-conforming products per SOP or applicable process.
  • Accurately record data on quality documentation as per standards and customer requirements.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma (GED) minimum; welding degree or certification preferred.
  • At least 3 years of welding experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in pipe fitting or advanced training in fitting/welding.
