Job summary

Core-Mark in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Loader Formula to support warehouse operations. You will transport items into trailers using forklifts or pallet jacks, build loaded pallets, and ensure loads are secure and labeled correctly in a fast-paced environment.

Training is 8 weeks, Mon-Fri 12:30pm–9pm, after which the schedule becomes a 4-day work week with Wednesdays off. Prior pallet jack experience is preferred but not required for all roles.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience.
  • 6+ months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience.
  • Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position.
  • Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shift; able to lift 10–35 pounds and up to 60–90 pounds, depending on location.
  • Able to work in multi-temperature environments (cooler, freezer, dry).
  • Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

  • Transports items to be shipped into the trailer with a forklift, pallet jack or by hand in the correct stop sequence.
  • Locates the proper slot on the trailer for the order, sets it in place and secures the load when complete.
  • Removes empty pallets, cardboard packing, and strapping to the proper area.
  • Inspects empty pallets for damage and moves pallets with pallet jack or forklift to the proper storage area.
  • Performs general housekeeping duties and keeps warehouse area, loading dock and trailers clean as required.
  • Follows all safety policies and procedures per company guidelines and reports unsafe conditions.
  • Puts on all required PPE and safety gear.
  • Inspects empty trailers at the loading dock to ensure they are clean and clear before loading.
  • Meets productivity and accuracy standards per location and company guidelines.
  • Removes batteries requiring recharging and completes vehicle inspection.",
  • Assists Order Selectors and performs other duties as assigned.
  • Puts equipment away and completes necessary paperwork at shift end.

Position Details:
  • Pay: $20-27/hr including performance incentives
  • Training Schedule: 8 weeks, Mon - Fri 12:30pm - 9pm
  • After training, schedule will be a 4-day work week. Working Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday, with Wednesdays & Weekends off. Start time will be 12:00 PM, working 10+hr shifts
  • Electric pallet jack experience required
Position Purpose:

Warehouse associates are the foundation to our company's success. They work actively, safely, and independently to maintain the efficient flow of products through our distribution process, while ensuring quality standards. As a Loader Formula, you will be transporting items into trailers using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts or by hand.

The Loader Formula prepares pallets of out-going freight for shipping and transports pallets while observing all safety regulations and ensuring all quality standards are met while maintaining the efficient flow of product through the production process. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.

Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
  • Transports items to be shipped into the trailer with a forklift, pallet jack or by hand in the correct stop sequence, according to a predetermined loading plan. Moves out going products from staging area to the loading dock with forklift. Wraps pallets with cellophane, secure load/pallets and make sure shipping labels are in place as needed.
  • Locates the proper slot on the trailer for the order, set it in place and secure the load when complete.
  • Removes empty pallets, cardboard packing, and strapping to the proper area or receptacles. Inspects empty pallets for damage, stack and move pallets with pallet jack or forklift to the proper storage area.
  • Performs general housekeeping duties and keep warehouse area, loading dock and trailers clear and clean as required.
  • Follows all preferred work methods, safety policies and procedures per company guidelines.
  • Ensure work area is safe and report any unsafe conditions and/or acts immediately.
  • Reviews work schedule, perform safety check on equipment, obtain supplies required to perform the work and prepare for operations.
  • Puts on all required Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Gear.
  • Inspects empty trailers at the loading dock to insure they are clean and clear before loading and take appropriate action as needed.
  • Meets required productivity and accuracy standards per location and company guidelines.
  • Removes batteries requiring recharging, replace with charged batteries and complete vehicle inspection checklist.
  • Assists Order Selectors and perform other similar duties as requested or assigned by supervisor.
  • Secures all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork at the end of the shift.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Able to work in multi-temperature environments, i.e., cooler, freezer and dry
  • Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
Preferred qualifications:
  • 1+ years of warehouse and/or distribution work experience using a motorized pallet jack
  • Foodservice distribution or related industry experience
  • Motorized pallet jack and/or forklift certified
