Job summary

Trilliant Food & Nutrition in Little Chute, WI is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to ensure products meet quality, cost, and service standards. You will support plant functions, maintain records, and help enforce food safety policies.

This role works 5:45pm–6:00am on a 2-2-3 schedule with a $3 shift differential. A high school diploma and experience in food processing or manufacturing quality are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs testing of physical and performance attributes of products.
• Maintains knowledge of methods, specifications, standards, and tolerances.
• Place nonconforming product on hold as needed.
• Evaluate products and test results to decide on pass, hold, reject, or rework.
• Communicate sample nonconformities to appropriate personnel.
• Record data accurately and maintain records.
• Enter test results into computer systems and keep records up to date.
• Maintain lab day-to-day conditions, cleanliness, safety, and organization.
• Adhere to food safety, quality, and regulatory policies; report concerns.

Position Overview:

The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for all products manufactured in the plant to ensure the fulfillment of the customer’s expectations in terms of quality, cost, and service. Provides effective support for all plant functions to achieve this goal. Proactively complies with all local, state, federal regulations and all corporate/plant policies, rules, and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Performs all activities associated with testing the physical and performance attributes of test products.
• Maintains current knowledge of accepted methods, specifications, standards, and tolerances.
• Place product that does not meet requirements on hold as needed.
• Evaluates all products, including test results and related information, to make informed decisions on passing, holding, rejecting, dispositioning, or reworking products and takes appropriate action.
• Communicate to the appropriate personnel when product samples do not meet requirements.
• Responsible for accurate and thorough recording of all data and information related to quality.
• Enter product testing/results into a computer system.
• Responsible for complete upkeep and maintenance of these records.
• Responsible for the day-to-day working conditions in the lab. This includes, but is not limited to, cleanliness, orderliness, safety, routine maintenance, sanitation, organization of controls, samples, records, and files.
• Responsible for adhering to food safety, quality, and regulatory policies and procedures; executing duties as outlined in standard operating procedures; and reporting any related concerns to the Production or Quality Supervisor

Qualifications:

• The ability to read, write, speak, and understand English is required.
• Previous experience with food processing, manufacturing or packaging required.
• Previous experience with food manufacturing in the quality function preferred.

Hours, Location and Pay:

We offer a competitive base pay rate and comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees. This role works 5:45pm to 6:00am on a 2-2-3 schedule at our Little Chute, WI manufacturing facility. We offer a $3/hr shift differential for nights.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, hear, use hands to type data, use a personal computer and telephone. This employee may occasionally have to operate business machines and lift and/move up to 50 pounds.
