Job summary

Youngstown Community School is seeking a dependable Cleaning Supervisor to support the safe, clean, and efficient operation of the school building. This role supervises nightly cleaning operations and assists with custodial duties to ensure classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas remain sanitary for students, staff, and visitors.

The position coordinates nightly cleaning, assigns duties, monitors completion, maintains supplies/equipment, and upholds high sanitation and safety standards

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work effectively with staff, students, and the public.
• Strong attendance and reliability.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures for equipment and chemicals.
• Assist in nightly cleaning duties and manage sanitation.
• Sanitize restrooms and surfaces daily.
• Sweep, mop, and designate areas for crew.
• Maintain stock and equipment; request replacements as needed.
• Perform duties assigned by Director and School Business Administrator.
