AIS Commercial Construction is looking for a dependable, experiencedNight Construction Supervisor / Working Foremanto join our team.

This is a unique position for someone who has a broad general construction background, enjoys working with their hands, and is also comfortable supervising subcontractors and being responsible for a jobsite.

A significant portion of this position will involvenight and after-hours construction at the Salt Lake City International Airport.Because many of the restaurants, retail stores, and other spaces we work in must remain operational during the day, construction is typically completed overnight while the businesses are closed.

We need someone we can trust to be AIS's representative on site during these night shifts.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Your primary responsibility will be managing and coordinating our nighttime construction work.

Typical duties will include:

• Arrive on site and coordinate with subcontractors scheduled to work that night
• Make sure subcontractors understand their scope of work and what needs to be accomplished during the shift
• Coordinate access to work areas
• Monitor work throughout the night
• Communicate with AIS Project Managers regarding questions or issues
• Take progress photos and document completed work
• Provide an update/report at the end of each shift
• Make sure work areas are clean, safe, and ready for the business to reopen
• Help identify and resolve field issues
• Perform punch-list and miscellaneous construction work when needed
• Assist our Project Managers and Superintendents with other projects as needed

HANDS-ON CONSTRUCTION EXPERIENCE

This isn't a position where you'll just stand around watching subcontractors work.

We're looking for someone with goodgeneral construction / handyman skillswho is willing and able to jump in when needed.

Experience with some or all of the following would be a big plus:

• Painting and drywall repair
• Tile repair and replacement
• Millwork and cabinet repairs
• Door and hardware adjustments
• Framing and miscellaneous carpentry
• Base, trim, and finish work
• Caulking and patching
• Minor demolition
• Punch-list work
• General commercial construction repairs

You don't need to be an expert in every trade. We're looking for someone who understands construction, is mechanically inclined, can figure things out, and takes pride in getting things done correctly.

AIRPORT BADGING REQUIREMENTS

Because much of this work is performed at theSalt Lake City International Airport, the successful applicantmust be able to qualify for and maintain an airport security badge.

This includes being able to successfully complete the airport's required background/security screening and badging process.

If you are unable to pass the required airport background/security screening, this position will not be a fit.

HOURS

The typical shift will be approximately:

10:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Hours may vary depending on the project and the work scheduled for that night.

Applicants need to be comfortable working overnight and should understand that the schedule may occasionally change based on project needs.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Able to communicate professionally with subcontractors, clients, airport personnel, and AIS Project Managers
• Organized and able to keep track of multiple tasks
• Comfortable using a smartphone for photos, texts, email, and project updates
• Experienced with general construction
• Able to read basic construction drawings and plans
• Capable of directing and coordinating subcontractors
• Willing to perform hands-on construction and repair work
• Able to recognize when something isn't being built correctly and speak up
• Responsible enough to represent AIS when our Project Managers aren't physically on site

A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.

Commercial construction experience is preferred, but we are also interested in someone with a strong remodeling, maintenance, facilities, carpentry, or handyman background who is ready to take on more responsibility.
