You’ll operate yard equipment, sort packages, and collaborate with supervision to coordinate movements across shifts.

No formal education is required, but a valid driver’s license and a DOT file are essential. Prior switcher or CDL experience is preferred; training is provided.

Qualifications

• Possession of valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a DOT file.
• Ability to understand and follow safety instructions.
• Ability to read labels and sort packages accurately.

Responsibilities

• Move trailers between yard and doors; perform hook-and-move operations.
• Coordinate trailer movements with yard control; document using yard system or switcher cards.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on equipment.
• Handle packages using hand-to-surface methods and load/unload from vehicles and conveyors.
• Sort packages by scanning, reading labels, and charts; follow conveyor and sorting procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
