Job summary

Sirna & Sons Produce in Ravenna, OH is seeking a Truck Driver to join our family-run wholesale operation. You will stage trailers, back into docks, operate tractors and trailers, and ensure refrigeration and safety compliance for daily routes serving Ohio and neighboring states.

CDL Class A is preferred but not required; candidates must be 21+ with 1 year backing experience, clean PSP score, and no more than 2 moving violations.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in operating tractors, trailers and straight trucks safely and efficiently.
• Ability to maneuver vehicles in tight spaces and follow yard traffic patterns.
• Understanding of loading/unloading procedures, trailer hookups, and brake systems.
• Proper understanding and operation of refrigeration equipment.
• Must read, write, and speak English; bilingual a plus.
• CDL Class A preferred but not required; at least recent verifiable experience.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently and accurately stage trailers/trucks for loading and transport with proper temperature control.
• Maneuver and back trailers/trucks into loading docks and perform pre-trip inspections.
• Follow safety protocols and perform safety checks to secure fleet.
• Fuels trucks and DEF as needed.
• Jump start trucks when required.
• Check refrigeration set points on equipment.
• Coordinate with Transportation/Warehouse Management for route equipment.
• Perform overtime and shifts as needed.
• Perform special projects as assigned by Transportation Manager.
