Samaritan Recovery Community in Nashville, Tennessee seeks Medical Assistant or CNA for night or weekend shifts (6:00p-2:30a). Provides care to clients in a treatment setting, conducts medical screenings and supports physicians.

The role requires an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree plus one year related experience; valid certification. Candidates with substance abuse and co-occurring disorder experience are highly desirable. Resume required.

Formación

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree plus one-year related experience.
• Experience working with adults with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders highly desirable.
• Must have a valid current Certification.

Responsabilidades

• Provide medical screening of all clients, conduct other screening, admission and referral interviews as scheduled.
• Act as liaison with Assistant Medical Director to assure histories and examinations are scheduled and completed; assist in medical treatments and referrals.
• Supervise self-medication procedures; maintain medical records and provide information to clinical staff.
• Obtain medical histories and schedule physical examinations and related lab work for new clients.
• Act as liaison with MAT providers and with laboratory services.
• Monitor compliance with self-medication procedures and document evaluations, complaints, recommendations and referrals.
• Assist with screening to provide nutritional counseling and conduct educational activities for clients.
• Organize and maintain inventory control of all medications and medical supplies.
