Job summary

Hy-Vee is hiring a Market Grille Express Clerk to provide prompt, friendly customer service at the Market Grille Express counter. You’ll take orders, answer the phone, and help prepare and replenish products while ensuring freshness and safety.

The role requires teamwork, attention to detail, and accurate POS handling. Training is provided, with a strong focus on a customer-first, hygienic store environment.

Qualifications

• Six months or less of similar or related work experience; prior food service experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service and greet customers with a smile.
• Take orders at the Market Grille Express counter and answer the telephone promptly.
• Review daily orders, anticipate product needs, and prepare/replenish products as necessary.
• Pull and prepare product, ensure adequate supply, and monitor freshness throughout the shift.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary work area and follow Hy-Vee policies and safety guidelines.
• Operate the department register, handle payments, and make change as needed.
• Assist in other store areas as assigned and work as a team to satisfy customers.
