Job summary

Quest Food Management Services LLC is hiring a Dish Washer/Porter for nights and weekends at the University of Indianapolis in Indianapolis, IN. The role involves dishwashing, general cleaning, and keeping the kitchen and loading areas sanitary.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, basic arithmetic, and a Food Handler certification. Prior kitchen experience is a plus, with full-time hours and hourly pay between $17.00 and $19.00.

Qualifications

• Must meet and maintain state and local Food Handler certification requirements.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and understand measurements and conversions.
• Previous kitchen or dishwashing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up cutting boards, trash cans, mats, dish machines and pot sinks.
• Wash all dirty kitchen equipment, pots, pans and small wares per sanitation standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dish area, kitchen, cafeteria and loading dock.
• Ensure trashcans are emptied and recycling is managed.
• Sweep and mop kitchen and pot room floors to prevent slips.
• Empty dish machine and pot sink every two hours and refill with clean water.
• Distribute and store clean pots, dishes and utensils.
• Record sanitizing solution concentrations in dish machine and 3-compartment sink.
• Follow Quest policies and food safety guidelines.
• Report to scheduled shifts on time in complete uniform.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
