Hy-Vee is seeking a Coffee Shop Barista to greet customers, craft beverages, and keep the coffee shop stocked and spotless. You will ensure each guest leaves with what they came for and a smile, in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

The role emphasizes friendly service, accuracy in fulfilling orders, and adherence to Hy-Vee dress code and safety standards. Previous experience is not required, but a willingness to learn is essential.

Qualifications

• Follow written and verbal instructions with confidence.
• Use basic math skills for simple addition, subtraction, counting, and recording.
• Communicate clearly with customers and teammates in a friendly, helpful way.
• Stay organized and keep up with the pace of a busy coffee shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and deliver outstanding service.
• Take orders at the counter and over the phone, and assist with product questions.
• Prepare and replenish coffee shop products during the shift.
• Monitor product freshness and appearance and follow a production list.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety standards.
• Operate the department register and process payments where applicable.
• Support teammates to ensure a positive customer experience.
