Job Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the stocking and refilling of concession outlets and portables, as well as helping to close out these outlets and portables at the conclusion of an event. The Warehouse Supervisor reports to the Warehouse Manager and the Concession Manager and is a part-time, event-based position located within the Food and Beverage Department of Amerant Bank Arena. Hours for this position fluctuate depending upon the event schedule.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Answering warehouse phone and radio to receive all incoming requisition requests
  • Make transfers in POS system to ensure everything is accounted for properly
  • Assist with the building of orders that are going out to respective stands, so that they are ready to go for runners if needed
  • Have complete knowledge of all menu items, production specs, ingredients, measurements and presentations
  • Assist with pre-event setup including stands and portables
  • Verify all stands/portables opening inventory for any discrepancies
  • Understand and ensure that all Health Department Food & Safety regulations are followed
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of all areas within the warehouse
  • Conduct end-of-the-night walk-throughs to ensure all inventory is secured and spaces reflect proper sanitation and appearance standards
  • Work with 3rd Party Vendors, transferring inventory during the event, reconciling ending inventory against actual sales on POS system, and preparing nightly report of sales and tips
  • Work with Stand Supervisors to reconcile end-of-night stand and portable inventories in POS system against inventory stand counts
  • Assist in locking up stands and commissary, ensuring all equipment and gas are turned off for the evening
  • Ensure all event documentation is completed and signed at all locations (e.g., stand inventory sheets, void logs, spoilage tracking, food temperature logs, and non-chargeable requisition forms)
  • Be comfortable with the arena and know how to navigate personally, as well as assist guests
  • Support any other Food & Beverage department as needed
  • Monitor and work with team members during events to ensure excellent customer service standards are met
  • Partner with the F&B and Amerant Bank Arena Senior Leadership to ensure a successful operation
  • Complete other duties as assigned by Warehouse/Concession Manager
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Supervise runners during the event, ensuring all requisition requests are delivered in a timely manner
  • Assist with in-event coaching as it pertains to proper practices/procedures; communicate with management regarding these efforts following each shift
Qualifications
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
  • 1-2 years’ experience in a leadership role working in a fast-paced hospitality environment is a plus
  • Must be extremely organized and detail oriented with the ability to multi-task
  • Must possess a positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and diplomacy skills; establishing and maintaining effective relationships with fellow workers and supervisors
  • Must be able to work in an environment with fluctuating temperatures, often cold
  • Must be able to work in an environment where noise level is generally high with heavy crowd traffic
  • Must be able to perform physical requirements of the position, including bending and/or lifting up to 50 lbs and standing/walking for extended periods of time without sitting
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a non-exempt (hourly) position. Must be able to work flexible hours, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
