Driscoll Foods in New York is seeking a Night Warehouse Selector to join our growing, family‑owned team. You will operate voice selection software, use electric pallet jacks and standup forklifts, and work Sunday night through Thursday night, starting at 6 pm, with training provided.

Prior warehouse experience is preferred, but we offer training. You will be measured on productivity and accuracy, pass equipment tests, and have the chance to earn incentive pay after training.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED preferred.
• Minimum one year in a heavy warehouse selection role.
• Must pass equipment test and become certified.
• Experience with pallet jacks and standup forklifts preferred.

Responsabilités

• Perform pre-shift duties including warm‑up and safety checks.
• Work in multi‑temperature areas and meet weekly productivity targets.
• Post‑shift duties: clear aisles, return pallets, clean spills, and paperwork.
• Read pick sheets and locate correct slots.
• Attend required training and adhere to safety policies.

Prior selecting/warehouse experience preferred. However, for the right candidate, we will offer additional training opportunities.

Key Points:

• This is a full‑time position. The work week is Sunday night‑Thursday night.
• This overnight position starts at 6 pm and ends when the work is complete.
• We select using the batch method, voice selection software, and labels. Our selectors are measured on productivity and accuracy.
• All orders are selected using electric double pallet jacks. You must pass an equipment test and become certified in order to work as an overnight selector.

Job Requirements:

• Perform all pre‑shift duties including warm‑up and safety checks on all equipment.
• Work in multi‑temperature areas as assigned. Meet weekly standards for productivity and accuracy while working in a safe manner.
• Performs various post‑shift duties that could include: Clearing aisles of all debris, returning pallet jack to charging area, and hook up jack for battery charging. Stacks empty pallets from slots in the aisle. Clean up any spills and place damaged products in the recoup area. Completes any related paperwork.
• Must be physically able to work in the freezer and in the cooler.
• Must be able to repeatedly lift more than 50 pounds throughout a shift.
• Attend all required company meetings and adhere to all safety practices and company policies.
• Must satisfactorily complete all company‑mandated training and assessments.

Education/Training:

• High School Education or GED preferred.

Related Experience/Requirements:

• Minimum one year of recent experience in a highly physical, labor‑intensive warehouse selection position.
• Minimum six months experience with warehouse material handling equipment (electric pallet jack or high low) preferred.
• Extensive experience operating Standup Forklifts is required.
• Voice selection software experience preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Must be able to read alpha and numeric codes from pick sheets and slots.
• Must be team oriented and able to get along with others.

Compensation:

• Training: during your 2 week training period, hourly pay is $16.50/hour

Incentive:

• After training, all selectors are expected to meet standards to achieve incentive pay. the range of compensation is $17.50+

Retention bonus:

• We offer a retention bonus over the span of 1st year of employment (must meet attendance requirements and work safely).
